Some of my favorite crushed grape colored garments in my closet. I’ve been noticing somewhat of an abundance of this color lately in my wardrobe collection. Some call it maroon, some purple. But I prefer describing my pieces in terms of edible substances, because I believe they are just that YUMMY! Drink up!

Bruno Mars Styled by Enrique Melendez

2nd time working with him and his 9 Man Band. Awesome guys. But definitely a change of pace for me. Having to dress a 9 different guys in all shapes in sizes was great experience. Love tackling new challenges. Makes me stronger and keeps me on my toes. Love this SKA version of “the Lazy Song”. Takes me back to the Clueless” movie days.

The inspirations for the splashes of color came from “The Beginning” album cover. And im really into the whole French Revolution period. Epilets, buttons, and extremely fitted cuts.
Was a pleasure to work with designer Asher Levine on this project. Such an amazing young talent. His design aesthetic is craaazy, and he really took my direction to another level. Plan on working with him very soon again as well..

Definitely one of my most memorable videos. All of the amazing designers that I was blessed to meet in Japan a week before the tragic Earthquake/Tsunami. So humble and gracious the people of Japan are, this was a total shock to me.

I had two days to pull 15 looks together for a music video, “Smap Smap” and Japanese press for the album “The Beginning”. With a Japanese translator by my side I ripped and ran through the streets of Tokyo only to discover the most welcoming and accommodating people. I have been to Japan twice before but the essence of this trip was different. I was really able to delve in and immerse myself in true Japanese fashion. From designers Rynshu / Masatomo, Diet Butcher Slim Skin, Phenomenon, Ato, and Shellac. it was a breath of fresh fashion. Thank you Japan. And you are in my prayers.
